Berichtje van de native speaker Miss Elaine
A little note from our Native Speaker miss Elaine
It is my pleasure to introduce myself to all the parents who have not met me yet. My name is Elaine O’Flynn and I was born in Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. I am married to a Dutchman and have been living in Holland for the past eighteen years. My home is in Goingarijp, a small village that I love. Peter, my husband, and I have one son Conner. He is twenty years old and has just finished his first year studying law at the Rijks University in Groningen.
I started teaching in the Accrete schools in January 2012. I am currently teaching English in 11 Accrete schools which I absolutely enjoy. Throughout the school year I teach English lessons to group 1 through to group 4 once a week.
As yet another most enjoyable school years comes to an end I would like to take this opportunity to tell you, that it has been an absolute pleasure teaching your children the English language.
It still astounds me at how quickly and easily they learn the English language, and it gives me great satisfaction when I see the progress they make from group 1 through to group 4.
At first they may seem even a little nervous, but after a few lessons I see their apprehension is gone and their faces light up when I come into the classroom! What feeling could be better than that?
I have done my utmost to make my lessons enjoyable and fun for the children, and it has paid off when I see such positive results.
A special thank you to all of my wonderful directors and to my colleagues, for without their support and wisdom my job would not be as pleasurable or effective.
I wish you all a very safe and happy summer holiday, and I look
forward with great enthusiasm to the next school year.
